RB Leipzig 2-1 PSG: Too bad for PSG

On the day Angel Di Maria missed a penalty and had to play 2 people missing due to a red card, PSG was bitterly reversed by RB Leipzig in the third round of the group stage H Champions League.

Red PSG cards: Gueye (69 ‘), Kimpembe (90’)

Although it is the away team, PSG is the one who took the lead. In the 6th minute, Di Maria had the opening goal for PSG from a defending phase of Upamecano.

By the 16th minute, the Argentine had a chance to double his own but he could not beat goalkeeper Gulacsi on penalty spot.

By the 57th minute, Leipzig led back to PSG when Emil Forsberg made no mistake on the 11m mark. Previously, midfielder Presnel Kimpembe let the ball touch his hand in the penalty area.

Being suddenly reversed, PSG put up a strong attack. But their attempt was unsuccessful when they lost consecutive 69 and 90 minutes. Gueye and Kimpembe were the ones to receive the second yellow card.

The red cards at two different times partly made PSG unable to find the equalizer. The French team accepted to close the match with only 9 people, in a day missing both Mbappe and Neymar.

Winning this match, RB Leipzig rose to equal points with the top team Man Utd. The German team is only poor in terms of difference. Meanwhile, with the latest victory in this round of Istanbul, the situation of Group H is becoming very complicated and every team can have a chance to win tickets.

  • PSG: Di Maria (6′)
